Further planning

In addition to our location scouting we are planning to pay a visit to a local World War Two museum to get some more informed ideas in terms of props and a more knowledgeable understanding of how to re-create an authentic battle scene.

So far we have decided that to attempt to make the scene look as realistic as possible we are going to try to track down a number of sand bags which will act as team B's defensive position. A war scene wouldn't be complete with out guns (obviously) but we've actually had some luck here and may be able to use a former set of students' fake guns which they once used for a similar production. As well as these vital props we also have a list as long as my arm consisting of uniforms, cigarettes, boots and helmets etc etc.

In terms of actors everything is still a little 'up in the air' at the this early stage, however we do have two confirmed actors and a third in the pipeline, this simply leaves us needing to find just two or three more actors and our cast is complete.

Hopefully we'll have much more to post up here soon to keep updated, so stay tuned!

Choosing a Location

Today me and Jake W. went location scouting, here are three different locations we found.

1.
Here is a river with a dip which we could use a trench but it didnt offer much more than that.

2.Here is the second location we came by, Its a small hill which is surrounded by trees and has several trenches.
There is a big trench at the top of the hill which will be perfect for team B's trench which we could set design with sandbags and coiled wire to give the more authentic look.

This is the same hill but standing half way looking up to the top were team B's trench will be.

3.Here is the third location we found, in comparison to the last it is very open. Jake and I decided that this would the ideal place for Team A's landing zone. However with such a small cast in mind we are not sure if we could make it work. But its still an option.
Here is an angle looking back on Teams A's landing zone
and standing where we decided could be Team B's Trench as there already is a hill there.
